Entering Attributes
How to Enter Attributes:
- In the Attributes tab, click the cell under the Name column in Row 1.
- Enter the attribute.
- Click the arrow to expand the drop-down window under the Required column in Row 1 to move to the next cell.
- Select yes or no.
If you select no, this indicates that the attribute is not required but preferred if entered in the Attributes column in the Locations Tab and/or the Vehicles Tab.
- Press the Tab key on your keyboard, or click the cell under the Reward column in Row 1, to move to the next cell.
- Enter the amount associated with successfully meeting the attribute for the stop location and/or vehicle, if entered in the Locations Tab or Vehicles Tab.
Entering a reward indicates that meeting the attribute for the stop location and/or vehicle could result in a potential profit.
- Press the Tab key on your keyboard, or click the cell under the Penalty column in Row 1, to move to the next cell.
- Enter the amount associated with not meeting the attribute for the stop location and/or vehicle, if entered in the Locations Tab or Vehicles Tab.
The higher the number entered for the attribute penalty, the harder the algorithm will work to optimize the route in such a way that the attribute is successfully met.
- Repeat the process until all attributes are entered.
If you require additional rows, click on Add Rows in the top-left corner of the Workbook Interface.
