This Product Features and Updates announcement for GPS Insight Pro/Enterprise includes updates for Dashboard/Maps and Administrative Features.


Map Dashboard – Places Search

The Map Dashboard search results can optionally include Google Places (if selected), which includes place information on a variety of categories, such as: establishments, prominent points of interest, geographic locations, and more. Additionally, the following enhancements are now available:

  • The search returns Places suggestions as you type.
  • The results returned are locations contained within the current zoom level on the map.
  • Clicking a result drops a pin on the map.

Administrative Features

Garmin Integration – Dispatch with Places

When sending a Garmin dispatch, in the Search box, you can now enter a Place in addition to an address or latitude/longitude combination. Results are returned as you type.

User Preferences – Auto-Unassign Drivers

The Auto-Unassign Driver setting in User Preferences is now available to master users who also have driver permissions. Previously, it was enabled only for the account administrator.

Remember, selecting this check box applies to all driver assignments for the account and overrides any manual assignment preferences that might have been previously set. This option is highly encouraged ONLY for accounts that use keyfobs for driver assignment.

Metrics – Sum Scorecard – Add Normalized Events Metric (Enterprise)

The Sum Scorecard metric now allows you to add an additional events metric that has already been normalized. This option allows you to reuse normalized metrics without having to recreate them. Normalization is important for comparison among multiple vehicles (drivers).

Metrics – Metrics Report Columns Hide/Show (Enterprise)

Within a Metrics Report, use the Hide/Show () option to hide individual columns from the report. Your show/hide selections apply to the exported report.

Additionally, a “Total” column is now available to sum metrics that show raw counts of events.

Password Rules

We’ve extended our password configuration options. If your account has a need for a particular password requirement, contact your Account Manager or Support to discuss your requirements and force new password rules to your account users. Options include the ability to specify the minimum length and the number of symbols, numbers, lowercase characters, and uppercase characters that a user must specify when creating a password.
