A key component of the Driveri platform is our Greenzone score which provides insight into the safe driving performance of drivers and fleets. As we analyze more and more information, including data gathered over 1 billion miles traveled, we strive to provide more meaningful products for our customers. To this end, we are updating our Greenzone score to better identify risky driving behavior that is detrimental to the safety of the driver and the motoring public.
This Greenzone Score update includes the following improvements:
- Driver Distraction events are included.
- Distracted Driving, Speeding and Following Too Close have a greater impact.
Traffic light and stop sign violations continue to have a significant effect on the score and their impact remains unchanged.
How the Improved Score Will Benefit your Fleet
With this new score, effective August 1, 2020, it will be easier to identify drivers with significant issues involving critical traffic safety events. Drivers with high levels of distracted driving, speeding and/or following too close will experience lower scores. Meanwhile, drivers who do not engage in this behavior will see little to no change, or may actually see their average scores increase.
