The Map transforms your workspace to a single 2D map with quick access to management of vehicles and landmarks. The 2D Live map shows live updates of all vehicles. Live updating means that individual vehicle locations/statuses refresh as they occur. Other 2D map options show collective updates when the entire map refreshes (usually every 10-15 seconds).
The map contains the following features:
You can now send a destination (dispatch) to a driver through the Map!
- Click on the Send Dispatch button on the right side menu.
The dispatch form will open.
- Enter the driver’s information in the Recipient(s) field.
- Enter the address of the destination.
- Click Send. The driver will receive a text and/or email notification with the dispatch location.
You can now view the names of Landmarks on the Map.
Viewing Landmark Names:
- Click on the Landmarks button on the right side menu to activate the landmarks.
- Hover over the landmark to view their assigned names.
Single Trip History
You can now view a vehicle’s history on the map in Trip History Mode.
Viewing Trip History:
- Simply select a vehicle from the vehicle list, then click on the View Trip History button.
- Once the trip history feature is activated, you can pick a date from the Calendar Picker.
- Once selected, you’ll click the play button to playback the driver’s trip!
The Weather Overlay is a new map layer that allows you to view the current weather radar in your fleet’s area. Simply click the Weather button on the right side menu to activate the radar.
- Daily weather is available 12 hours in advance.
Once the weather feature is turned on, a color legend will appear showing light to intense weather severity.
Weather Opacity Preferences
You can manage your weather opacity preferences on the Map Preferences card.
Simply click the Preferences button in the right side menu, then adjust the opacity.
This Weather Forecast feature is unavailable on Internet Explorer, but current weather is still viewable.
Vehicles with an “Unavailable due to unreliable data” status are not displayed on the map and appear in a list of unavailable vehicles. To see the list of vehicles with unreliable location data, simply hover your mouse over the Unavailable button (located next to the Map Panel). This list provides hyperlinks for each unavailable vehicle for you to click on and see the vehicle’s corresponding Vehicle Card.
Point of Interest (POI)
The POI Card shows you details of recently searched and selected points of interest.
Map options allow you to enable Full Screen view, adjust zoom level, toggle display (Street Map or Satellite Imagery), display terrain, or show Street View.
The Map has the following options:
|1||Full Screen||Expand the map full screen. To exit full screen, press the Escape (Esc) button on your keyboard.
A simplified Vehicle Card is shown when in Full Screen mode if a vehicle is selected. Click Go to Full Vehicle Card to exit full screen mode and view the full vehicle card.
|2||Display Toggle||Click Map to show the street map (default) or click Satellite to show satellite imagery.
Hover your mouse over Map to display the option to show terrain on the Street Map. To show terrain, click on the box next to "Terrain".
|3||Zoom In/Out||Click + to zoom toward the center of the map. Click – to zoom outward from the center of the map. You can also use the mouse wheel.|
|4||Street View||Drag the yellow pegman to a location on the map for street-level imagery. (Click the X in the upper-right corner to exit.)|
